Sentient End pairs melodic, thought provoking lyrics with heavy riffs and intense rhythms. The resulting songs are a unique blend of jazz, rock, and classical.
Jill provides all vocals and lyrics. Her arrangements and melodies are drawn from her strong background in classical music but also her passion for heavy metal and hardcore. It was her desire to meld the intensity and passion with the complexity and beauty of these forms that lead to the creation of Sentient End.
Pal's guitar creates the framework Sentient End's songs are built on. His playing is informed by rock, jazz, and his native Hungarian folk music. From heavy riffs to melodic strumming, he backs Jill's powerful vocals with distinctive rhythms and deft changes.
Jon's versatile bass drives the songs and binds everything together. His inate sense of timing and skill for arrangement have been honed by his classical training on double bass, violin, and guitar. He has a diverse list of influences - chief among them are Miles Davis, John Lennon, Trent Reznor, and Joe Strummer.
Vicktor is an incredible percussionist with a smooth style and inimitable stage presence. He moves effortlessly between the heaviest hits to the lightest of touches. After graduating the University of Connecticut, he spent a year and a half in Paris playing flamenco guitar.
